Tour Edge Exotics EXS 220 Driver
Imagine the power a 100 tiny trampolines would produce. That is the concept behind the Diamond Face of the Exotics EXS 220 driver from Tour Edge. It reduces spin and delivers incredible ball speed, even on off-center strikes. The premium 8-1-1 titanium construction is low density and lighter, so more weight can be redistributed throughout the head. This, along with the 9 gram backweight and enlongated shape, increases the MOI by 20%. Carbon construction on the crown, heel, and toe also saves tons of weight, which is repositioned to the back of the head. A sound diffusion bar dampens vibration and improves the acoustics for an appealing, high-performance sound at impact. Among the 3 available loft options, the Exotics 220 can be adjusted to as low as 7.5° and as high as 14°.
TED, the Tour Edge Developmental robot, tested a large amount of the best shafts on the market to see which performed the best in the 220 heads. Below is the data from the testing based on driver speed. Shown is the best shaft for that particular swing speed.
