Taylormade Spider EX Platinum Putter
The Taylormade Spider EX Putters are brand new for the 2021 season. The Spider EX series blends multiple proven and new technologies to create a performance based putter. When combining the Fluted Feel shaft with the all-new Pure Roll² insert and True Path 3 Dot alignment technology, you get a precision putter with easy aim, buttery-smooth feel and enhanced stability.
True Path Alignment Technology True Path alignment is optically engineered to provide easier aim at address. A clear focal point on the Spider EX series putters, the reflective white color provides a tool to make the stroke and path of the ball more visible. Combining the two alignment rails and 3 dot alignment tool, the Spider EX frames the ball to promote a consistent address position.
All-New Fluted Feel Shaft The Spider EX series putters are engineered with Taylormade’s Fluted Feel Shaft to provide stability and forgiveness on the greens. The Fluted Feel Shaft possesses a softened section located 5” from the end precision made to enhance feel, increase stability and tighten dispersion.
Pure Roll² Insert Technology The entirely-new revision of the original Pure Roll technology, Pure Roll² features 8 co-molded grooves for maximum topspin and a better roll. Additionally, the insert is manufactured from white TPU Urethane and includes angled aluminum beams to produce better feel and roll characteristics.
Advanced Multi-Material Construction The Spider EX line uses an advanced blend of lightweight aluminum, heavy steel and tungsten components to provide players with the renowned consistency and stability of Spider putters. The heavier elements create a deep CG (Center of gravity) for better distance control as well as weighting the frame of the heel and toe areas for optimal stability. Lighter elements aid the putter in modern performance advantages around the circumference of the clubhead.
Head Shape The Spider EX Line is a slightly more streamlines clubhead design than the Spider X. Featuring softer lines and a more rounded back, the Spider EX head size is 3.5mm larger than the Spider X from heel to toe and 2.7mm larger from front to back.
