The philosophy of the all new P790 irons by Taylormade is simple; Don't mess with what works, make it better. These irons provide a player's look while packed with technology and performance. Ultra light urethane called Speed Foam is injected into each face. This leads to exceptional feel and enhanced ball speeds. A low profile tungsten weight helps lower the center of gravity which increases the launch angle. A forged carbon steel hollow body is married to a forged 4140 wrap-around face. This construction leads to explosive distance and forgiveness. The Speed Pocket slot is the company's most flexible thus far, and it helps increase ball speeds on miss-hits; especially shots struck low on the face. Technology called Progressive I.C.T. (Inverted Cone Technology) improves accuracy and ball speeds with off-center hits in each iron.
