Description
Ping Glide 3.0 Wedge - Steel
The Glide 3.0 Wedge line by Ping has been totally redesigned to give you their softest feeling, highest spinning, most forgiving wedge in the company's history. The 3.0 model is also lighter overall than the former 2.0. A soft elastomer insert, Ping calls the Custom Tuning Port, covers most of the back cavity. This port is activated at impact to produce a solid, yet soft feel. This new design keeps the ball from climbing and actually delivers a lower launching trajectory with increased spin. Wheel-cut milled grooves produce more friction at contact which delivers Ping's highest spin numbers in years. The higher loft models actually have an extra 1/2 lower groove to generate even more spin on shots around the green. Returning to the wedge family is the Eye2 grind, one of the best selling wedges of all time. The Eye2 features that trademark high rounded toe and tear-drop profile. Multiple sole grinds are available to fit your attack angle and most common turf conditions.
SS Grind - Standard Sold Grind. This grind meets most players' profiles. This is a mid-bounce sole with heel relief. Engineered for players with a moderate attack angle, and who play in a variety of turf and sand conditions.
WS Grind - Wide Sole Grind. The most forgiving grind as it is rounded and cambered and has a high bounce. Engineered for players with a steep attack angle, and who play in soft and lush turf and sand conditions.
TS Grind - Thin Sole Grind. This is for precision shot-making from tighter lies. Engineered for the player who has a shallow attack angle, and who plays firmer sand and turf conditions.
EYE2 Grind. This is a remake of the famous groundbreaking EYE2 sand wedge designed by Karsten Solheim. It features a narrow hosel, a progressive leading edge, and high rounded toe for ultimate green-side bunker performance.
